League

What Is the League?

The UTMBC League is our competitive weekly format where members play ranked matches tracked by an Elo rating system. It's a great way to challenge yourself, see your progress over time and play against opponents matched to your skill level.

How to Join

• Be a registered member of the UTM Billiards Club.
• Show up to a league session and sign in with a coordinator.
• Your first match will establish your initial Elo rating.
• No prior experience required (all skill levels are welcome).

Elo & Rankings

Your performance is tracked using an Elo rating system. After each match, your rating goes up or down depending on the result and your opponent's rating. View the latest standings on the Rankings Page →

How Matches Work

• Matches follow standard 8-ball rules (see our Rules page).
• A coordinator pairs opponents and records results.
• Each match result updates both players' Elo ratings.
• Play as many or as few matches as you like each session.

Weekly Events

• League Days: Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• Practice Sessions: Fridays, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
• Location: Blind Duck Pub
