Winter 2026 League Preview

The Winter 2026 UTMBC league runs on the club’s Elo ranking system, with matches played at the Blind Duck Pub and standings updated live on the Rankings page. Registration is open to all UTM students regardless of skill level.
How the league works
League play is rated. Every match you play feeds the Elo system, so your standing reflects who you beat rather than just how often you show up. Matches are played at the Blind Duck Pub inside the UTM Student Centre.
Who can join
Any UTM student, at any skill level. There is no qualifying requirement and no prior experience needed. If you have never played a rated match before, the rating system will place you within your first few games.
Before your first match
- Read the Rules page so you know the club’s 8-ball conventions.
- Show up on time. If you cannot attend, tell the coordinator with as much warning as you can.
- Check the Rankings page after each match to see your updated rating.
- Organiser rulings are final and are made impartially.
